Free Speech is Dying
The United States Constitution is a living document that allows for modifications by way of amendments. The very first amendment to the Constitution reads as follows
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Courts have routinely ruled that certain actions by state and local authorities, as well as other branches of Government, must allow for this free speech. Thus it should come as no surprise to you that Donald Trump has posted this –

That’s right. The President of the United States has declared that protests, a form of free speech, are now illegal. Now, I know what some of you are thinking, “But he said illegal protests!” and you are correct, he did. I must ask you this though, do you really think he feels that *any* protest is legal?
Get ready. The First Amendment to the Constitution is about to be declared null and void.
